Diversity and inclusion is not just a passing phase, or trend. It is something that has always been needed in all aspects of the media, entertainment and fashion industries. While we have in recent years made great strides in increasing the Diversity and Inclusion into not only these industries but into the wider community there is still much that needs to be done. 1 in 6 Australians live with a disability yet rarely are they given the opportunity to work or be represented in the Entertainment, media and fashion industries. Diversity and Inclusion is about not only representing Disabled people but also respecting and including the contributions, presence and perspectives into the industry. In this session delegates can expect to learn about the current challenges facing the disabled community from a disabled persons point of view as well as some of the simple things that they can put into effect in their own business to help achieve the goal of a more Diverse and Inclusive work place.
