Utterly lame. Totally cliched. Not remotely funny. (PS we have unisex toilets where I work and I can assure you that women can be utter pigs too.)
Because a female bowel movement smells of cinammon and apple?
What the hell do I have to apologise for?
Shit ad
Wow, how unimaginative. An ad attempting to appeal to the domestic partner who has to clean up after her ‘fitlhy men’. Original – I think not.
And for the record – Women can be just as filthy as men in the toilets, I can’t even begin to describe some of the horrible things I’ve seen in female toilets! Boys might miss the mark sometimes… but we use just as much toilet paper!!
Farts and poos are funny
insulting
Insulting is right – an ad asking women to apologise for anything would never make it to air…
Insulting? I think not. About time there was a toilet ad with an IDEA. nice one.
Gurmesh is absolutely right
WTF were they thinking when they put this crap together? Terrible, sexist and really disappointing to see.
there are some REALLY Sensitive new age guys on here. hilarious
They should do a sanitary napkin commercial where women apologise for being bitches during that ‘time of the month’. That would be even more hilarious than this!!!!!
So much better than a product demo.
PS all of you above who think this is a battle of the sexes idea should take a good look at themselves.
I like the ad, but I don’t think that it’s entirely based in reality. Every agency I’ve ever worked for has had horror stories about the state of the ladies loos, but never the guys facilities.
How many of you out there have the same story? It would be interesting to see.
It’s not bad but it’s not great either. Why they’re talking it up is a mystery.
I’m really sad that they would begin with a phrase that emulates the apology to aboriginal people. It makes such an overdue and landmark apology seem smaller somehow as on the level of men making toilets smell.
Also agree with statements that women are often equally to blame for making toilets smell…but then the add is appealling to a certain sort of woman…one who would never admit to smelling. 🙂
I didn’t notice the Aboriginal references personally.
But I did notice one glaring bit of sexism – the marketers obviously assume it’s only women who clean the toilet.
Lets all go buy cadillac’s to match our smoking jackets.
