Reports a deal has been reached in 60 Minutes Lebanon child recovery operation
Reports suggest a deal has been made between Sally Faulkner and the father of her children, Ali Elamine, which could see a Beirut judge drop kidnapping charges against a 60 Minutes team caught up in a botched child recovery operation.
News Corp is reporting the lawyer of Sally Faulkner, the mother of two children at the centre of the 60 Minutes’ operation, has said a deal has been done but he would not elaborate ahead of a court hearing due to begin a 11:00am Beirut time (6:00pm AEDT).
While a deal may have been reached with Elamine, a prosecutor would still have to decide whether to drop the state case against the detainees after the investigative judge Rami Abdullah makes his decision.
