800 Words returns to less viewers than debut; Zumbo’s Just Desserts gets hammered by The Block
The return of Australian drama 800 Words on Seven attracted a metro audience of 877,000 last night, down sharply on the 1.21m viewers that watched the opening episode of the first series.
The second outing for Zumbo’s Just Desserts, on Seven, also lost ground, with its audience tumbling more than 250,000 on debut, or 23%, to 830,000.
It was beaten in the 7:30pm slot by Nine’s The Block, which drew 944,000 – down on Sunday’s opener and Monday night’s second show, but enough to make it the most watched non-news show of the evening.

Whilst we’re on the topic of words….. your heading should say ‘fewer viewers’ not ‘less viewers’. grammar matters
This is the 21st century litmus test of grammar. Every day it’s butchered in the office.
I wanted to say how refreshing Zumbo’s just Desserts was, and I will go to the end, I like the way they treat the contestents, this is a truly slick visual treat, with quality tasks filled with imagination and creative ideas. I wish the show all the best.
