ABC News website down with ‘technical outage’
The ABC News website has been down since early this afternoon on desktop preventing readers from accessing its content.
A message on the site this afternoon says it is experiencing “a technical outage” on its desktop site, which was the third most visited in the country in September with a unique audience of 2.942m users.
The ABC has posted a selection of headlines and abstracts from some of its top news stories to the page, but there are no clickable links. It has also created a live blog to give rolling updates on events while the site is down.
