ABC’s ratings share remains stagnant as crisis engulfs broadcaster
The percentage of the TV viewing audience turning to the ABC remained stagnant last night, despite the broadcaster increasingly becoming a news story itself.
The ABC once again had 12.2% of the TV viewing audience and saw 750,000 tuning into its nightly news program.

Stagnant? Perhaps “consistent” would have been a less loaded word choice
Interesting point, Ben.
I was thinking of it in the sense of ‘motionless’ / ‘static’, but I certainly see your point.
Will take it into consideration in the future.
Thanks,

Don’t forget the 330,000 people also watching the ABC News in Regional markets last night.
Aside from the ABC tumult, it would be nice to see now and then in Mumbrella’s ratings summary the observation, in relation to 7 and 9’s 6pm News, that the figures are usually skewed by the oddities of the Perth market. 7’s huge News audience there greatly increases the national average while 9’s poor figure pulls down its average. The reality is that in the east of the country, 9 usually wins but the skewed averages obscure this.
Hi David,
Thanks for your feedback. I have taken note and we will try to look at Perth figures more closely.
