Acast appoints sales director and group business director
Acast is building its local presence
Podcast company Acast has promoted Kate Digby to the newly created role of sales director, ANZ, and appointed Katie Stenson as group business director, as it grows its Australian operations.
Digby previously served as commercial strategy director at Acast, and will be tasked with driving revenue growth and overseeing the company’s commercial direction across Australia and New Zealand. She previously held senior commercial roles at Nova Entertainment over a six-year period, and was a project manager at Global Radio in London.
Stenson recently spent five years as account director at the Guardian Australia, and has also worked in adtech in the UK.

Henrik Isaksson, managing director of Acast ANZ, said in a media release the appointments “will strengthen Acast’s mission to drive advocacy and education for podcasting and its creators across Australia and New Zealand.”
These new roles come as Acast moves into its new Sydney offices in Woolloomooloo, which are equipped with a podcast studio featuring a three-camera set up and professional studio lighting.
A press release about the new office said it will serve as “a central hub for Acast’s growing Australian operations, providing enhanced facilities for employees, creators and partners.”
Acast paid out $11.1m in advertising payments to local creators in the last year, bringing total payments since launching in 2017 to $56m. It recently signed deals with Apple and Spotify to provide video podcasts to both platforms.
