October has been largely positive for adspend on radio, figures released by Commercial Radio Australia suggest.

A modest rise in total revenue of 0.54 per cent to $62.3m marks the ninth consecutive month of growth for advertising spend.

Sydney had the strongest performing market with a revenue increase of 3.15 per cent to $19.293m, while Melbourne climbed by one per cent to $19.009m, and Perth and Brisbane saw modest increases of 0.54 per cent and 0.15 per cent respectively.

Adelaide was the only city to see a decline on last year’s ad spend with a drop of 8.33 per cent on last October to $5.505m.
