Add some drama to your domestic violence

The award for awkward ad placements of the day goes to these two metrolite ads in the World Square shopping precinct in Sydney’s CBD.
On the left: a Mission Australia domestic violence ad, with the caption: “I wish I had a safe place to go so I could leave him”, next to a Maybelline ad captioned #addsomedrama.
More like #awkward.
And photo credit to?
Must be a slow news day at Mumbrella, because you’ve drawn a very long bow to fire that pathetically flimsy arrow. Go and do some proper reporting and stop being lazy.
Hi KG,
Thanks for the comment. I see from your email address you may have more than a passing interest in this diary colour piece though, which might be clouding your thoughts on it.
Cheers,
Alex – editor, Mumbrella
I’m simply saying it, just as I’m seeing it, just like everyone else will. Nice try though.
Sorry KG, with Alex on this one. That’s some extremely unfortunate placement. If you want ‘proper reporting’, don’t read the Dr Mumbo section – it’s intended for light-hearted observations just like this one.
Hmmm I think the ‘How the Big Bash’ ad to the right of a story about domestic violence is probably not the best place for it either…
Hope Adshel are onto moving one of these panels straight away before their clients find out.
