Agency hires first social media director – and announces it on Twitter

Mumbrella can reveal that Amnesia, part of the global Avenue A |Razorfish network, has become Australia’s first major digital agency to hire a social media director – and true to the medium, it announced it in a Twitter message.

Ian Lyons, currently the Communications Director of online research firm Pure Profile, will join the Microsoft-owned company in ten days’ time.

He told Mumbrella: “It’s a really exciting opportunity.”
