Amazon extends music streaming service to Australian Prime members

Amazon Australia has added ad-free music streaming to its Prime service as it beefs up its offering to local consumers.

The Prime service, which was soft launched two years ago, now includes ad-free music streaming with unlimited skips alongside its video offerings to Australian members.

Music streaming has been a difficult market to crack in Australia, with Spotify dominating the market after Pandora and Soundcloud fled the local scene in July last year.
