ARN launches music streaming site iHeartRadio
The Australian Radio Network has entered the digital music streaming space today with the launch of iHeartRadio in beta, marking the first expansion of the digital music service outside of the US.
As the latest radio company to enter the music streaming space, ARN’s new digital station will compete with Songl, launched by Southern Cross Austereo following a deal with Digital Music Distribution in October, as well as Telstra’s music streaming channel MOG, and dmg Radio Australia’s partnership with Rdio in August last year.
Also operating in the space are digital music streaming stations Spotify and Pandora along with locally created service Guvera.
ARN has made the beta web version of iHeartRadio available in Australia and New Zealand from today at iheartradio.com.au, and the full service will become available at the time of the iHeartRadio music festival in Las Vegas next month.
“We are leading the radio industry into its next era”
If you believe that you are deluded.
This isn’t even available on mobile device, how you going to listen to that in the car on the train or at the gym?
Laughable!
