Ash Barty’s loss draws 455,000 metro viewers, Hard Quiz wins top non-news spot

Karolina Muchova’s middle-of-the-day defeat of Ash Barty pulled 455,000 metro viewers to Nine’s coverage of the Australian Open, with the three set match running from 11:13am to 1:10pm yesterday.

And while the evening match up between Rafael Nadal and Stefanos Tstisipas, in which Nadal was defeated, performed better, with a capital city audience of 613,000 from 7:41pm to 11:51pm, it was the ABC’s Hard Quiz which took the crown as the most watched non-news show last night.

The program, hosted by Tom Gleeson and airing from 8pm to 8:30pm, came in sixth spot, behind the five dominant news offerings and on 684,000 metro viewers.
