Technology journo Asher Moses resigns from Fairfax Media
Fairfax Media’s technology editor Asher Moses has resigned to take up a communications role with the consumer lobby group the Australian Communications Consumer Action Network (ACCAN).
Moses has been with Fairfax for the last seven years and technology editor for last four years.
“The decision to move on was extremely difficult”, said Moses.
“It has been an honour being one of the dwindling few who can earn a decent crust from writing about what they love. Journalism is the only work I’ve done since I began writing paid freelance articles at 14. But now is the time for me to branch out and see what else I’m capable of.”
No more of those lovely business-class junkets for you, young Asher, but what you will lose in Frequent Flyer miles you will earn fivefold in that great feeling in your soul for making a difference to consumer rights in this increasingly minefield-like market!
Getting paid freelance work at 14? Gee, times have changed alot in seven years, but I’m sure that same 14 year old who submitted article would today have become a power blogger or YouTuber quite quickly.
All the best with the move Asher – The Aussie tech media landscape won’t be the same without you!
Good luck with the new role, Asher.
Congratulations Asher. A new chapter for you. Best of luck in the new role.
Congratulations Asher. A new chaper for you. All the best in your new role.
Guess he was fed up writing link bait.
Congratulations Asher!
Sorry to see you go Asher!
Bad, bad, bad look for Fairfax this when young talent can’t see a future in the joint. Scary.
