ASTRA announces theme for Women in TV breakfast

Industry body the Australian Subscription Television and Radio Association (ASTRA) has announced its Women in TV breakfast will discuss social media, women and the networked audience.    

The announcement:

Australian Subscription Television and Radio Association (ASTRA) has announced that the annual Women in TV breakfast, held as part of the ASTRA 2011 Conference on 29th March, will reflect on the increasing impact of socially networked women on the entertainment and advertising spheres.

The Women in TV breakfast, the only annual event of its kind in the TV and media industry, will be delivered by Johanna Blakley, Deputy Director of the Norman Lear Center – a US based multi-disciplinary research and public policy center exploring implications of the convergence of entertainment, commerce, and society.
