Austereo cleans up Kyle & Jackie O website

Austereo has toned down the content of the website for its suspended Kyle & Jackie O show, removing flashbacks to several segments in which the public were involved in demeaning themselves to win prizes.

Among the items that have been removed since the end of last week are those featuring people stripping for money and a search for a man with Sydney’s smallest penis. A photo gallery of presenter Kyle Sandilands taking part in a race to produce a sperm donation has also been removed.

It appears that most of the items that remain on ther Kyle & Jackie O page involve jokes at the expense of staff rather than the public. The rethink follows the furore over last week’s lie detector broadcast involving a 14-year-old rape victim and comments about the spiteful nature of certain segments of the programme. The show was yesterday taken off the air.
