‘Australians deserve the full picture’: Calls for Kelloggs, Pepsi, Nestlé to front Aussie Senate into supermarket mark-ups
Global food companies will be forced to defend their role in the rising cost of supermarket prices in the current Senate inquiry.
NSW Liberal senator Maria Kovacic told the Sydney Morning Herald that the bargaining might of these corporations needs to be exposed in the hearings.
“I want to see major multinationals like Procter & Gamble, Unilever, Kelloggs/Kellonova, Coca-Cola, PepsiCo, Mars, Nestlé and Mondelez Australia front this committee to explain why Australians are paying more at the checkout for their products,” Kovacic said.
