Channel Nine saw 1.290m viewers tune in to watch Australia wrap up a comprehensive victory against South Africa on Sunday evening, but wasn’t enough to help Nine win the night.
That session of the cricket was the most viewed program in the 16-39 age demographic, according to OzTAM’s overnight metro ratings, while Nine News was the most popular in the 18-49 and 25-54 demographics.
Nine News aired slightly earlier than its advertised start time of 7:00pm in Sydney and Melbourne, achieving 1.047m viewers, whereas Seven’s 6:00pm News attracted 1.171m viewers and was the most watched program of the night.
