Australia’s Got Talent back on the road
With The X Factor still in midstream, Seven has signalled that it is ready to switch its attention back to Australia’s Got Talent.
The network has issued its call for entries for the next round of the contest with a 16 city trawl.
According to its announcement:
Channel Seven’s hit entertainment program Australia’s Got Talent is back on the road in its biggest talent search ever undertaken. AGT will visit a massive 16 cities, including many in regional Australia, searching for the most unique and talented performers of any age and any skill.
When you say “Aus got talent”, which art forms are you specifically acknowledging?
When you say… “Open to EVERYONE, it appears that the framework has, for all intents and purposes, only to do with performance arts. Is this so, and if so, why so?
Your statement…”AGT is looking for solo acts, group performances, singers, dancers, instrumentalists, illusionists, circus and stunt acts, comedians, novelty acts, animal acts, child performers – absolutely anyone doing absolutely anything. Whether amateur, professional or somewhat dubious – the doors are open to everyone!” seems to define “talent as a notion which can only be framed in “performance” as a guiding or overriding pricipal. Is there a place for talented visual atists in this endeavour , or are visual artists not welcome. If not, why not?
Hey Gary, yes it is… This is a competitor from Ukraine’s Got Talent I think https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z1JZ9O15280&feature=fvst
