Australia’s oldest gay paper turns 30

Sydney Star ObserverThe Sydney Star Observer – Australia’s oldest newspaper for the gay and lesbian community – today celebrates its 30th anniversary.  

The free title has published a special edition to mark the occasion.

The newpaper – which will also see its 1000th edition later this year – was launched by Michael Glynn  in 1979.

Last year the newspaper launched a sister title – the Southern Star – in Melbourne.
