Australia’s Perfect Couple drags Nine down but Eddie nearly gets his first Hotseat win
Pressure is increasing on Nine to axe or move its reality show Australia’s Perfect Couple after its ratings declined again on Wednesday night.
Until Australia’s Perfect Couple came on, the network had performed solidly with audiences of 1.2m, 1.1m and 1.2m for Nine News, A Current Affair, and Two And A Half Men, according to preliminary ratings from OzTam.
But for the Jules Lund-hosted Australia’s Perfect Couple, the ratings fell off a cliff, virtually halving during the one hour show to an average 672,000. Once the programme – featuring couples taking part in challenges to decide who’s best – ended, much of the audience returned with RPA pulling in 1.1m.
The ratings for Australia’s Pefect Couple were the worst yet for the show, following an opening of 798,000 and 762,000 in its second outing.
When you have a talentless nob like Jules Lund, and a group of plastic fantastic perfect couple wanna-be’s, most of whom won’t last 2 years together – thats what you get… 672,000 viewers and dropping. Channel nine reminds me of the Titanic – The unsinkable ship… SANK xxx

They say the secret to their perfect relationship is to argue on a regular basis. Like their bowel movements, they aim for at least once a day. Dad reckons he will outlive Mum. Mum say’s “not while he’s eating my cooking”.

Australia’s perfect couple is a load of crap, i have never seen soo many fake people rolled into one show. I think its pathetic and boring and Salina your right im sure those couples wont last more than 2yrs.
And i think its a joke that the Indian couple think they are representing the indian community..are you kidding me? showing on TV as virgins thats a disgrace and down right shameful to the community itself. And whos to say that they are even VIRGINS. Please people stop making fools of yourselves!
I like the show and think it is getting better each week.
I would rather see Australian made TV than watch the Simpsons.
Least Channel 9 is trying some local programming.
Thats a bit harsh about the couples lasting 2 years as allot of them have already been in longer relationships than that.

I think that people with comments such as “these couples wont last longer than 2 years” is disgusting. Maybe whoever wrote that isn’t happy with his/her life. These couples look like they had a lot of fun and atleast they are having a go. What can you say for yourself. I do agree that channel 9 went the wrong way about presenting the show, but why is that a gateway for people to criticise the couples.
Well i know gemma sykes as ive worked with her in the past and she is a lovely girl and her relationship with raf is real and it has lasted so the show isnt based on fake relationships…everyones relationship is different but i think people who are negative towards the show are just jealous and wish they had what these couples have!
I think the show is funny and entertaining and it has gotten better:)

I heard that the honeymooners win. No suprise. I bet they chose the boys to stay as they knew Australia wasn’t doing to be ready for a gay couple to win the title of australias perfect couple. Congrats to the least deserving couple gets almost a quarter of a million. Surely a family with kids needs it more then a struggling model and her Brazilian chef. The money will be spent on plastic tits and and lipo for all the Brazilian food they will be eating. Maybe Robbie and Dan can perform the serguries. Gotta hate reality tv. Eveyone now knows your flaws. That childhood couple was terrible too. They basically admitted that. They weren’t a happy couple when they came to the show. But still thought they were perfect. Tragic!!! .
