Bagged
It would be unthinkable that a supermarket would feature an item made by one of its competitors in one of its own ads.
Wouldn’t it?
Take a close look at this beautifully produced new ad for Supa IGA, particularly at 31 seconds.
Recognise the Woolworths-made Macro jute bag?
And here’s a pic of a Macro jute bag. A case of mistaken identity – or product placement gone very wrong?
……maybe it’s telling us they already swapped from Woolies to IGA? Good luck on that one!
i have now seen this ad. without this ‘placement’ I would not have.
well done I say!
This ad is a phony! A big fat phony!
Seriously though no one is going to care.
It might be a bit of a stretch, but it could even be argued that she’s a shopper that switched to IGA, but didn’t throw out her reusable bag (and the avg consumer wouldn’t).
Less ‘unthinkable’ and more justifiable.
And isn’t the woman leaving the IGA pushing a Woolies trolley?
I won’t shop at IGA because they don’t sell the eco-bags from the commercial. Said no one ever.
