Bankwest gets on board Barefoot Investor’s buckets bandwagon
Bankwest has tapped into the “buckets” phenomenon championed by Barefoot Investor author Scott Pape.
The latest ad in the brand’s ‘Bank Less’ campaign was created by WPP AUNZ’s bespoke agency Union.
The ad refers to “this bucketing thing”. Pape advocates that consumers should create three “buckets” for their savings covering immediate needs, a safety net and long term wealth.
Bankwest (BWA) Is BS Just like the CBA – there is little difference & CBA just wants a larger profit margin off BWA.
CBA want BWA more like ING a Online banking platform, no branches, no service & definitely NO SOUL!
Australia’s 4 piler banking industry failed to deliver anything, just bigger bank profits then anywhere else in the World!
Have to thank the shortsighted Government legislation & the Big 4’s even bigger Greed…
1. Yes popular through Scott but Elizabeth Warren (US presidential hopeful and former economics prof actually came up with the idea with her daughter in her book).
2. Yes Scott endorsed ING but it was not just for interest rates it was for NO fees. In particular not even ATM fees internationally.
3. For high interest rate emergency funds Ubank or ME bank was actually recommended / not ING by Scott.
4. The buckets can be characterised: expenses, spending, savings, wealth building, emergency
