Banter appoints Kent Pearson to lead content, connections and social
Independent engagement marketing agency Banter has appointed Kent Pearson as head of content, connections and social.

The announcement:
Independent engagement marketing agency Banter has appointed Kent Pearson as head of content, connections and social, as brands grapple with a growing problem: plenty of content, but very little connection to what people care about or talk about.
As marketing fragments across platforms, formats and channels, Banter’s move signals a clear point of view: social works hardest when it is connected to what brands are actually doing in the real world. Brand activations, events and sponsorships should not peak and disappear. They should become fuel for sustained cultural relevance.
Pearson joins Banter from Connecting Plots, where he led integrated social, influencer and content programs for major household brands and helped scale specialist social and influencer agency a.glo into a full-service offering. His work there included culturally resonant, award-winning campaigns such as Helga’s Brat Sandwich and Changi Airport’s Week Long Layover. Prior to Connecting Plots, Pearson was Head of Social and Content at TBWA\Eleven.
At Banter, Pearson’s remit is to integrate social, content, creators and partnerships as a lead capability, not a downstream channel, ensuring that the agency’s ideas translate into discovery, participation and lasting mental availability.
Paul Den, co-founder of Banter, said the appointment reflects growing client demand for a social partner that does more than manage channels. “Brands are crying out for a social partner that understands how moments are created, amplified and sustained. Kent gives us the
credibility to build social as a specialist solution, deeply integrated with the work we’re already doing, from day one.”“Too much social work today exists in isolation,” Pearson said. “Brands are producing huge volumes of content without a clear connection to what they are actually doing in the real world. The most effective social platforms I’ve built have always been anchored in moments people genuinely care about, whether that is experiences, partnerships, PR stories or cultural triggers. That’s the gap Banter is uniquely positioned to fill.”
“What excites me about this role is building a social and content offering that’s different by design,” Pearson added. “One that can lead for clients who want a specialist partner, while turning real-world brand behaviour and media moments into sustained social momentum.”
