Bauer Media digital boss Carl Hammerschmidt departs

Bauer Media digital head Carl Hammerschmidt is set to depart in what is the first major move at the magazine publisher following the arrival of new CEO Nick Chan two weeks ago.

Mumbrella can reveal that Hammerschmidt is departing after six years with the publisher where he led the creation of the Australian division of Bauer’s digital offering Xcel over the past 18 months.

Nick Chan, CEO of Bauer Media said, in a statement: “I would like to thank Carl for his dedication and hard work in pioneering Bauer Xcel Media in Australia.
