Beau Ryan answers an unasked question

Dr Mumbo has of course been watching The Kyle & Jackie O Show saga with mouth agape.

And he’s happy to see that ARN Media’s rivals are rushing to assist.

Take Kyle Sandilands and Jackie Henderson’s old home of Southern Cross Austereo. SCA helpfully pumped out a press release today, just to add to the the public discourse.

It turns out that former K&J contributor Beau Ryan would like the world to know that (checks notes) SCA is a nicer place to be. Ryan is now on SCA’s Triple M.

The SCA PR statement revealed: “Beau Ryan has shared his candid thoughts on the future of Kyle Sandilands and Jackie O, declaring he does not believe Jackie will return to breakfast radio – in a chat that sparked several headlines.”

Those chats certainly do spark headlines – particularly if if one sends out press releases about them.

The release continues: “Speaking this morning on his Sydney radio show, Triple M Breakfast with Beau, Cat & Woodsy, Ryan – who previously worked as a long-time contributor on KIIS Breakfast before joining Triple M in 2025 – said while the pair could return to radio, he questions why they would.”

For those speculating about whether Ryan would like a future gig alongside Jackie – and Dr Mumbo truly wasn’t  – Beau had an answer anyway.

“When asked whether he would consider teaming up with Jackie O if approached, Ryan categorically ruled it out. ‘I love it here so much. The working environment is so important, especially doing hours like this. Anyone who gets up with a ‘3’ in it, you’ve got to work somewhere you love. The three of us have a good thing going on here.'”

Dr Mumbo hopes this is not the last such press release. Until every male presenter in the country has categorically ruled out themself out of working with Jackie, and every female presenter with Kyle, can we truly have a full picture?
