Ben Lawless-Jennings joins Aussie toy brand as head of marketing

Local construction toy brand Connetix has appointed former Nike, Lego, and Optus marketer Ben Lawless-Jennings to the newly-created role of head of marketing.

Underscoring the company’s commitment to brand growth and innovation, the appointment hopes to solidify its position as a leader in the construction toy space, while it also looks to scale and expand globally.

Lawless-Jennings brings over 20 years of experience to the role, including marketing roles at The Walt Disney Company, Nike, Optus, Warner Bros., and more recently, Alquemie Group, which licenses brands including Lego and Surfstitch.

He will report to chief executive officer and co-founder of Connetix, Brea Brand, and will work alongside the leadership, operations, and customer service teams.

His responsibilities will include driving the company’s brand development and strategic marketing vision, creating a more engaging brand experience for customers, and delivering on the Connetix mission of inspiring creativity and learning through play.
