Big Brother scores viewers with Tully Smyth eviction but AFL Brownlows win for Seven

big brother tully smythThe eviction of DDB Sydney’s social media strategist Tully Smyth from the Big Brother house rated 932,000 for Channel Nine, making it the top entertainment show of the night, according to preliminary overnight ratings from OzTam.

Smyth, 25, left the house unaware of the social media backlash that has stirred against her including a hate campaign that has gained traction on social media during her eight weeks in the house.

Big Brother was the fourth program overall and the top rated program among people 25-54.

However in Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth, the Brownlow Medal awards ceremony celebrating the last year of the AFL was the top rated show.
