Big Sunday sees Nine’s new channel GEM roll out Random Acts of Kindness as Junior Masterchef spoiler
Nine is using its new digital channel GEM as another flank of attack on Ten’s Masterchef-driven domination of Sunday nights.
The network will debut the second season of family friendly Random Acts of Kindness on GEM at 7.30pm on Sunday, which is the channel’s launch night.
Random Acts of Kindness was a good performer for Nine last year, debuting with 1.412m viewers before settling at around 1.2m viewers.
The show is hosted by Scott Cam, with Nine talent including Simone Jade McKinnon, Andrew Rochford, Shelley Craft, Natalie Gruzlewski, Jules Lund, Shane Crawford and Karl Stefanovic.
The show sets out to reward ordinary Australians who help others. The first episode features a koala rescuer, children’s nurse and youth worker.
Other GEM shows include The Big C, Weeds and Friends.
Sunday night will also prove the biggest challenge yet to Seven’s The X Factor after disappointing ratings for its first live elimination. Not only will it be up against Junior Masterchef and launch night for GEM, but 7Mate launches at the weekend too.
Is that all thats going to be on channel gem?
Are you a fucking retard?? Why would they only put one show on a whole channel. Go die dumbass
