Brad Keeling launches social media venture
OneTel co-founder Brad Keeling has launched One Small Planet, a social media operation specialising in brand management and direct marketing.
The new venture will be spun off from Small Planet, the mobile business which is part of mobile media solutions group Slice Wireless co-founded by Keeling in 2004.
One Small Planet will work with companies as well as celebrities to help manage their brand profiles on social media sites such as Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook.
It will be formally launched in March with a website and list of clients which Keeling claims includes a large FMCG company, a news organisation, an online magazine and a statutory authority.
Wow, that’s original.
…..so it’s a cross between the business models of One-tel and The Population – sounds like a winner.
Does anybody remember those REALLY horrible One.Tel ads? I’ve tried to find them on YouTube, but to no avail.

Obviously it is vitally important to be authentic, trustworthy and transparent in social. Brad should do really well then…..

Brad, please, do everyone (including yourself) a big favour, go and drive a cab. DO NOT try and reinvent the wheel. You’ve burnt so many people (including me) that nobody should ever have faith in you ever again.
The media should be advised to give this failure a wide berth and not give him any further publicity.
WOW…So let me get this straight. Keeling has come up with the same technology as People Browser, or Prowsr.
And who invented Prowsr? Why his ex business partner from One-tel, or was it Tele-one, Mr Jodie Rich.
Maybe they should think about a collaboration tool?
