Bring a client to Circus, agencies urged

Communications Council chairman Anthony Freedman has urged agency bosses to consider bringing clients to this month’s Circus festival of commercial creativity – the biggest event produced by his organisation since the merger of AWARD, the Advertising Federation and the Account Planning Group.

Speaking on The Mumbrellacast, Freedman – who is also CEO of ad agency Host – said: “There’s a lot of stuff there that would be really good people to think about inviting their clients to. There should be stuff that’s inspiring and thought provoking. If you do attend with clients you might end up walking away with some interesting stuff to talk about in subsequent weeks.”

He said:  “It’s the first project of scale from an event point of view that represents the membership and the interest areas of all the industry bodies that came together to form the Communications Council.”
