Brisbane Radio Ratings: Howson loses Brisbane Breakfast crown as 97.3FM comes close to losing top spot

Brisbane radio ratings The ABC’s Spencer Howson has lost his title as the highest rating breakfast host in Brisbane, after winning the last two radio surveys, while the margin between 97.3FM, which has held the ratings crown for much of 2014, and Nova narrowed to just 0.1 per cent.

Howson’s ratings tumble of more than 2.9 per cent in Breakfast saw 97.3FM regain its top spot in the slot with the FM team of Robin Bailey, Terry Hansen and Bob Gallagher posting a 12.6 per cent compared to 12.2 per cent for the ABC presenter.

In the total people stakes 97.3FM remaining stable on 13 per cent share but rival Nova 106.9FM surging 1.6 per cent to come within 0.1 of claiming their title with 12.9 per cent. 

Drive time also saw a shake up with Nova 106.9FM’s Nova’s national show of Kate, Tim and Marty rising 2.4 per cent in Brisbane to a 16.5 per cent share unseating 97.3FM’s syndicated drive show of Chrissie Swan and Jane Hall which had a 14 per cent share.
