Brisbane radio ratings: The battle for breakfast heats back up as Triple M’s new team delivers a strong first survey

The battle for Brisbane breakfast radio has ramped up with only one ratings share point separating first and forth position in the seventh radio ratings survey for the year.

Following the departure of Robin Bailey at the end of the previous ratings period, Triple M Brisbane’s The Big Breakfast Team of Greg Martin and Nick Cody and new addition Margaux Parker has gained 0.3 ratings points, increasing its audience share to 10.5%. Bailey announced her departure in September, so she could spend more time with her husband, radio executive Sean Pickwell. Pickwell passed away at the end of that month.

Elsewhere in breakfast, Nova’s breakfast team of Ash Bradnam, Kip Wightman, David ‘Luttsy’ Lutteral and Susie O’Neill dropped 1.6 points to an 11.1% share, after comfortably taking the lead in the previous survey on a 12.7% share. This makes Nova equal first with the team of Abby Coleman, Stav Davidson and Matty Acton on Hit 105, who lost just 0.1% points this survey.
