Britain’s Got Talent boosted by time slot shift but can’t beat Ten’s Masterchef

Channel Nine’s decision to move Britain’s Got Talent from its original 8:30pm time slot proved successful, attracting an audience of 621,000, up from last week’s 583,000.

The UK talent show aired in the competitive 7:30pm time slot but it couldn’t beat Masterchef’s ‘Invention Test’ which pulled in 1.174m metro viewers to be the most watched non-news program of the evening.

Britain's Got Talent

Masterchef was the most-watched program across the key advertising demographics (16-39, 18-49 and 25-54).
