Browne appointed MD at Nine

Jeff Browne has been appointed managing director of the Nine Network.

“Nine is on the cusp of a wonderfully productive period in its already rich history. Having served the network as executive director for the past four years, this step up provides an even greater opportunity to steer the business to a new level, based on the growing strength of our Nine schedule and brand, exciting prospects for our multi-channels and a reinvigorated commitment to news, sport and Australian drama,” said Browne.

Browne will supervise the relocation of GTV9 and the PBL Media Group to new facilities in Bourke Street, Melbourne, and will then relocate to Sydney. Browne will have a weekly presence in Melbourne.
