Cadbury owns up to shrinking Dairy Milk size in open letter to customers
Chocolate manufacturer Cadbury has penned an open letter to its customers admitting its shrinking product size.
Shared on the brand’s Facebook page, Cadbury said: “Unfortunately, over the last few years, we’ve seen our costs go up. Rather than raising the recommended retail price, we’ve made the call to reduce the size of our Cadbury family blocks, and also bring down the recommended retail price slightly.”
The letter, headed “you’ll soon notice something a little different about or Cadbury family blocks” ensures customers that its ingredients and recipes will remain the same, however the size and price of the family chocolate blocks will change.
Buy Whittaker’s they’re an honest brand who don’t piss about with the price/ value. And it tastes better too.
Price per gram would suggest the price has actually gone up, good job Cadbury
Pretty sure that was the point…
So Cadbury, how long will you gaurantee not to rise the price for?
It’s a chocolate company, not a commodity, why would they need to guarantee price stability…
Things like inflation, supply and supplier costs are hardly in their control, so there’s no way they could predict when their next price rise will need to be.
It’s called inflation, people…..what do you expect!?! I think they’ve made a smart move by being honest & upfront with their consumers, rather than just sneaking the changes through with the hope that no-one notices.
Consumers? Consumers!!??
I think you will find they are actually “passionate Cadbury fans”.
Get with it old timer.
