Call for entries: Blue Mountains Film Festival

The Blue Mountains Film Festival will relocate and expand this year.

Moving to Scenic World, the festival will this year be accepting films up to 20 minutes in length.

The Festival which runs from Thursday 13 – Saturday 15 October, have also upped the kitty with $3000 in prizes to filmmakers. Each category winner will receive a ‘Yowie’, the festivals new award statuette, as designed by Blue Mountains artist Paul Begg.

“Short film submissions are being received almost daily and we have already seen some really great entries, so it looks like it’s going to be a fantastic line-up” said festival director Tom Taylor in a statement.

The judges lined up this year are Travis Konneeley, David Webster, Jane Cameron, Josef Ber and Tiriel Mora.

Submissions are now open until Friday 16 September.
