Carat wins Nokia from Mediacom in global realignment

Carat has won the Nokia media account in the second major local blow to Mediacom in the space of a month.

The Finnish company – one of the world’s leading mobile device manufacturers – announced that Carat will handle its media planning and buying globally.

Universal McCann, PHD and Mediacom – incumbent in several markets including Australia – were also involved in the pitch.

The shift by Nokia to Aegis-owned Carat comes less than a month after Mediacom was reported to have lost a two-way shootout with OMD for Westpac.
