Cartoonists pay tribute to Charlie Hebdo shooting victims
Cartoonists from around the world have penned drawings around the tragic murder of 12 people at French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo.
Two of the victims were prominent cartoonists Cabu and Wolinski, whose close to the knuckle drawings drew massive controversy for the French magazine which had previously fallen victim to a firebomb attack in 2011.

Perhaps credit the Buzzfeed article which was the source and/or inspiration for this.
Wow – some amazing images. The last one is the best, I think.
You guys forgot a few here ! 😉

Hi Buzzfeed,
I actually started pulling this together this morning after seeing the images coming up on Twitter, then saw several other media outlets including 9News.com.au, The New Daily, The Globe and Mail and even Vogue have done similar galleries.
It seems it’s a fairly obvious thing to do, especially for a site writing about media.
Cheers,
Alex – editor, Mumbrella
Lol at Buzzfeed claiming they should be credited. Buzzfeed are the biggest stealers of all – most of their content is just a rehash of reddit / 4chan / imgur content.
Piss right off, Buzfeed, it’s not like you guys aren’t guilty of attribution or no attribution on a daily basis.
See http://www.thebestpageintheuni.....u=buzzfeed
Right now let’s stand together in solidarity.
Lewis has it right, Buzzfeed can just piss right off. I saw this on reddit well before you guys posted anything… like every other article on that site.
A dozen of our creative brethren are slaughtered by extremists and you clowns are bickering over credits for an assemblage of tributes. Only one comment so far has in any way reflected any human reaction to what is an act of indescribable barbarity. Let’s try and get some perspective here. Is this how sad and shallow the advertising industry has become. Is this what passes for important in the face of such a tragedy?
Pathetic. Absolutely pathetic.
I would rather read it on Mumbrella than have to go anywhere near Buzzfeed!
Spagoni is so right. How did this thread deteriorate so quickly into bickering about Buzzfeed? It really is pathetic.
I just want to say ‘mercie charlie’ and fuck off all detractors
Mat
If inanity falls in the forest and no one is around to care, does it make a sound?”
Peace
Doesn’t the first comment say “Buzzfed”?
i.e. It probably wasn’t Buzzfeed who posted it.
This article has been purposely derailed to be a debate about Buzzfeed by the same people who will declare that “Muslims are the real victims”.
Hay guys … enough already.
Let Voltaire have the last say:
“I do not agree with what you have to say, but I’ll fight to the death your right to say it.”
It amazes me that this many different cartoonists can be so creative in less than a couple of hours. There is so much talent in the cartoonist industry. Unfortunately we are now missing ten of the best.
“Weapons of mass creation” was my favourite.
It is interesting to see the public support for cartooning at a time when the newspaper industry is turning its back on cartoons and comic strips.
