Cato & Clive to close, Mathieson moving to mystery job

Strategic communications advisory Cato & Clive Partners is shutting down, with Sue Cato to continue her work solo while Clive Mathieson steps into an undisclosed new job.

The pair’s company – one of the most influential and sought-after strategic communications and PR shops in Australia – will cease operations in February. The news was first reported in the Australian Financial Review yesterday.

Recent clients include Santos, Costar (the global real estate platform that recently bought Domain), PEXA, Webjet, and Canadian pension fund PSP Investments.

Many of Cato & Clive’s customers remain anonymous — it services big companies, organisations and individuals, often in crisis or in complex financial situations, and at the highest levels of leadership.
