Sydney, 16 February 2011 – Interbrand today welcomed Chris Lamont who joins the team as Associate Director, Verbal Identity.
Richard Curtis, General Manager, Interbrand Sydney said: “Interbrand Sydney had a stellar year last year culminating in the AGDA Awards wins for our work with Griffin Theatre Company and the Australian Institute of Company Directors. These awards truly reflect the level of collaboration that we foster within our strategic and creative approach at Interbrand. And now that Chris is joining the team, we’re perfectly placed to bring together our unique combination of strategy and creativity with the critical role of language.”
Starting from March 2011, Chris joins Interbrand from XXVI, a brand consultancy recently bought by Principals, where he worked for a wide variety of major Australian and international brands including Foxtel, Philips, NRMA and IKEA.

I know some of the team personally and I’m really looking forward to getting stuck in and making sure that great verbal identity makes a massive contribution to the work,” says Lamont.
“We’re all delighted to welcome Chris to the Interbrand team. His reputation for entertaining, intriguing and engaging copy, as well as his passion for the written word, fits with our mission to create valuable, world-changing brands that stand apart. The majority of the team had met him before and knew he was a good lad, but we can’t wait to see what we can achieve together,” added Chris Maclean, Creative Director, Interbrand Sydney.
