Claire Fenner appointed group managing director at Atomic 212
Atomic 212 has promoted Claire Fenner to the role of group managing director off the back of a year that saw the agency claim some significant account wins.
The appointment of Fenner, a founding media partner, will see Rory Heffernan now take over as the general manager of Atomic 212’s Melbourne agency.
Fenner has helped lead the agency to win multiple key accounts during her tenure including BHP, Bupa, Origin and more. In 2020, Atomic 212 won the pitch for BMW’s media account, worth an estimated $20 million.
She was also helped pioneer the agency’s data-driven ‘smarter, faster and accountable’ media model. Now she’ll relocate to Sydney to lead Atomic 212 from its Walsh Bay office where she’ll nurture new talent and drive client growth.
In addition, Fenner will oversee the agency’s integrated media approach, and work with the Atomic 212 leadership team across the country.
Atomic 212 chairman and partner, Barry O’Brien OAM, said Fenner has been an exceptional motivator in her time with the agency.
“From a very early age, I’ve seen her grow in terms of her ability to run a business, how to grow a client’s business and how to motivate the people around her… and that is an exceptional and extraordinary talent.
“I wish Claire every success in her new role as group managing director.”
