Claudia Sagripanti to head Publishers Australia
Magazine industry body Publishers Australia has appointed mobile marketing specialist Claudia Sagripanti as its new CEO.
Most recently Sagripanti has been running digital training events through her consultancy Venture One. Until earlier this year she was director of mobile with WPP’s Group M.
She starts the new role next week.
Her appointment follows this month’s announcement of an alliance between PA and Magazine Publishers of Australia, which represents Australia’s larger magazine players.
No disrespect to Claudia but I look forward to Publishers Australia explaining why the best person to head their organisation and be its public ‘face’ is a person with no publishing or magazine experience…
With dozens of articles published across a broad range of magazines, including Marketing Magazine, B&T and Digital Media Magazine, Claudia has worked closely with leading magazine publishers for many years. She also launched the first Online Advertising Taskforce for the IIA – working closely with online publishing CEOs. Her broad-based media industry experience and connections will be a valuable asset to Publishers Australia members, and will ensure the continuing growth of the association.
