Clemenger grows its graduate program

The Clemenger Group Graduate Program has expanded from seven to twelve graduates.

The announcement:

Sydney, 08/02/11: The Clemenger Group Graduate Program (AKA the Seven Brains Program), which was established to select seven leading graduates to rotate through a number of Clemenger companies has expanded this year with an intake of twelve graduates. Significant demand for and from high quality graduates, and the underlying growth of Clemenger Group companies has driven the expansion.

This programme, now in its fifth year, will see graduates rotate through seven Clemenger companies in Sydney and Melbourne in the public relations, advertising, direct, digital, experiential, healthcare communications and shopper marketing fields.

Tim Parker, Executive Director, Diversified Marketing Services of the Clemenger Group, who oversees the program says it is unique in Australia as it exposes young talent to the unrivalled scale and scope of individual companies and communications expertise within the Group in a diverse range of fields.

“We want to grow future leaders who have a fundamental understanding of a cross section of marketing communications disciplines. These are the people who will succeed in a future where lines between historic communications disciplines are blurred or nonexistent.”

“We are thrilled with our success to date, and with the number of high quality applications we received, and so have expanded our intake. All the companies who’ve participated so far have been delighted with the sheer energy and smarts these young folk bring to their businesses.” Parker said.

The successful applicants will rotate through three of : Clemenger BBDO (Sydney and Melbourne), Clemenger Proximity, Traffik, URSAClemenger, Porter Novelli (Sydney and Melbourne), CHE and Creative Activation (Sydney and Melbourne) over a period of three three-month rotations to get a taste of what each agency offers, and are paid an entry-level salary for this period. At the end of the 3rd rotation placement hopefully all of these graduates will be offered full-time positions within the Clemenger Group.

The Clemenger Group is Australia’s largest and most successful group of communications companies, with over 40 businesses in the group operating across key marketing and communications disciplines.

“We have always strived to gain an unfair share of exceptional talent in our Clemenger Group companies by hiring and nurturing smart, passionate and creative people. These are the people who in turn have made each of our companies ‘best in class’. We are pleased to be able to extend our investment in the future of our business,” says Tim Parker.

The graduate programme began on February 7th, 2011 and is run annually. Prospective applicants for 2012 can obtain more information from www.sevenbrains.com.au from July 2011.
