Clemenger Melbourne creates ‘Deadly Questions’ site to discuss Indigenous issues
Clemenger BBDO Melbourne has partnered with the Victorian Government to launch a campaign supporting a proposed treaty with the nation’s Indigenous people, which encourages Australians to ask any question to a member of the Aboriginal community.
The Deadly Questions website gives the opportunity for Australians to ask questions, no matter how ignorant they may seem, to a member of the Aboriginal community.
Bloody fantastic. Great to see Clems take charge in this space
This is a fantastic initiative. It has a similar approach to the great documentary series “You Can’t Ask That” which provided a safe forum for questions and answers. Congratulations to all involved!
That is the freshest thing I’ve see all year. Beautiful work Clemenger Melbourne
Its a great idea as we dont get an opportunity to talk to Aboriginal people. I have however visited communities in WA and SA . Both seemed to be somewhat disfunctional and had NGO’s instead of missionaries running them. Many kids didnt attend school and some didnt speak English. It seemed there were different language groups who didnt always get on.
People also couldnt own their own houses.
So many questions arose from our visits.
What do Aboriginal people want to enable them to both preserve their culture and get the best out of integration. Can Aboriginal people even speak with one voice given the multiple language groups.
I know that changing the date of Australia Day is important, what date is thought of to replace jan 26th? I’m all for a change,btw..cheers Mick
