Cody Outdoor founder resigns from APN board over ‘unresolved concerns over corporate governance’
Pierce Cody, the founder of Cody Outdoor, has resigned from the board of APN News & Media due to concerns he has with how the company is being run.
Cody founded Cody Outdoor in 1986, which was later acquired by APN News & Media.
He has been a non-executive director at APN since 2003.
In a statement released to Mumbrella, Cody said:
what’s next for Mr Cody … he has a lot of free time on his hands right now. Maybe another media move?
Sad to see so many issues with this company and a pity it has lost so much experience in the name of “necessary cuts”
Time to oust the bean counters.
What … didn’t even stay for the ballot on Monday ?
Correction. Pierce Cody did not found Macro foods in Bondi Junction. It was set up by a Barbara Murry and her husband for over 20 years and was brought by Pierce Cody in 2004 with Bret Bundy.
If memory serves me correctly, Pierce was Media Director of the Ball Partnership back in ’86…and he founded Cody in the early 90’s
She’s Apples – Pierce and Bret founded Macro Wholefoods which is a different entity to the original Macro which was more like a corner store … Macro Wholefoods was based on the US Wholefoods model.
