Colombia vs Japan World Cup match helps SBS to rare double-figure main channel share
SBS’ coverage of the Colombia vs Japan FIFA World Cup match helped the channel to a rare 10% main channel share, according to OzTAM’s overnight preliminary ratings.
Throughout the year, SBS tends to pull around 5% to 6% of the free-to-air television audience, however when Australia took on France on Saturday night, the multicultural broadcaster had 27.9%.
Perhaps you should correct your headline to the actual spelling of the country – Colombia
Senorita EB,
This is very unfortunate on a day we called out The Sydney Morning Herald for their unfortunate typo on a World Cup story.
Thankfully ours didn’t result in accidental swearing, but embarrassing nonetheless.
Thank you for flagging. It has been corrected.

Surely you can spell COLOMBIA correctly!!!!
Hi Dave,
How embarrassing. It would appear that we could in the article, but not in the headline.
It has been corrected now.
Thanks,
Vivienne – Mumbrella
Sad to see that a professional news source can not spell the country’s name correctly… It’s Colombia not Columbia!
