Cricket Australia blocks ABC player interviews after on-air sledge

Cricket Australia has refused to provide the ABC with player interviews after day three of the fifth Ashes Test, following a series of disparaging on-air remarks about CA management and selectors.

ABC commentator, ex-cricketer, and Cricket NSW board member Stuart Clark claimed during Monday’s broadcast that Cricket Australia cricket chief James Allsopp and Australian team selector George Bailey were unwilling to stand up to the national team’s coach and captain.

“James Allsopp who runs cricket in Australia, the head of cricket, community cricket, is a grade club cricket coach that throws underarm balls to kids,” Clark said during the ABC’s coverage on Monday.
