Cyclone Debbie sees news dominate Thursday night TV

Cyclone Debbie’s destructive path has seen news programs dominate the top five programs of Thursday night television.

As Northern NSW saw residents evacuated due to flooding from Cyclone Debbie, Seven News won the night with 1.111m metro viewers tuning in, according to OzTAM’s overnight preliminary metro ratings.

At 6.30pm Seven News/Today Tonight averaged 987,000 viewers despite airing the AFL in Adelaide instead – which pulled 107,000 metro viewers.
