Daily Mail MD Peter Holder departs after eight years
Daily Mail Australia has announced managing director Peter Holder will depart the publication after eight years in the top job.
Holder has been MD since 2015, overseeing the online publication’s operations in the country. He was initially brought in as acting MD to replace Mikaela Lancaster at the time.

One of the great ones! Well done Pete, great innings.
Peter Holder is a great talent, this will be a loss to the Daily Mail. More experienced staffers leaving the Daily Mail again will mean others will have to step up, that will be an interesting next move, considering who is left. The Great Martin Clarke left the global business in 2022 and I doubt they have ever recovered from him walking out the door, with the site not what it used to be. Holder leaving is another kick backwards for a brand who needs every page and headline to be click bait for ad dollars.
I haven’t seen Australian Women’s Forum get a mention for decades. Those were exciting times. Best wishes to Peter for his next endeavour.
